Max Silver Surpasses $3 Million in Career Live Tournament Poker Earnings
The European Poker Tour (EPT) stop at the Portomaso Casino in St. Julian’s, Malta, is in full swing, running from October 18-29. During Event #17: €25k No-Limit Hold’em 8-Handed, SnapShove Founder Max Silver finished in fourth-place for €164,030 (~$179,760), and in doing so, surpassed $3,000,000 in live tournament earnings for his career.
The incredibly stacked final table included Mikita Badziakouski, Ole Schemion, Davidi Kitai, Patrick Leonard, Adrian Mateos, and Silver, but it would be New Zealander David Yan emerging victorious to win the €465,800 first-place prize.
Following a long five-handed battle, Badziakouski would be eliminated by Silver after losing with ace-king to jack-ten. Silver however was the next to fall after losing a coinflip to Yan who held pocket jacks against his ace-queen. Now left as the short stack, Silver was eliminated shortly after when his queen-nine couldn’t improve against the ace-ten of Oleksii Khoroshenin.
Although falling in fourth place, this would be Silver’s sixth-largest score, and the continuation of a career-year. He finished seventh in the EPT Monte Carlo Grand Final €25k No-Limit Hold’em High Roller for €202,050, 33rd in the WSOP Main Event for $216,211, and now fourth here in the EPT Malta €25k No-Limit Hold’em 8-Handed for €164,030.
With this fourth-place finish netting him nearly $180,000 in prize money, Silver now surpasses $3,000,000 in live tournament earnings, but is still trailing Andy Black and Marty Smyth on the Ireland All-Time Money List. Black has nearly $4,674,000 in career live tournament earnings, while Smyth has amassed just under $3,880,000 in career live tournament earnings.
